Features

Enhanced Durability with PTFE Membrane

PTFE Membrane for Enhanced Durability

- PTFE is an excellent material for producing degassing membranes due to its super-hydrophobic properties
- Superior to PP in corrosion, acid, alkali, heat resistance, hydrophobicity, and insolubility
- Widely applicable for degassing or Transmembrane Chemisorption (TMCS) purposes

PP membrane lifespan: 6 months

PTFE membrane lifespan: 2+ years of normal operation

PTFE-TMCS Membrane Contactor Structure

99% Ammonia Nitrogen Removal Achievable

  • - When applying the PTFE-TMCS system for ammonia removal:
  • - Single-stage configuration can remove approximately 80% of ammonia
  • - 2-stage series achieves 96%, 3-stage series achieves 99% ammonia nitrogen removal

PTFE-TMCS Ammonia Removal Principle

Ionization Equilibrium of Free Ammonia [NH₃(g)] by pH and Temperature

Ammonia Ionization Equilibrium by pH and Temperature
  • Adjust wastewater pH to alkaline
  • At pH 11+, ammonium ions (NH₄⁺) dissociate into free ammonia (NH₃)
  • NH₃ migrates through PTFE membrane micropores to absorbent (H₂SO₄), then neutralization (2NH₃ + H₂SO₄ → (NH₄)₂SO₄)
  • As free ammonia (NH₃) is removed, NH₃ concentration on the absorbent side decreases
  • Concentration gradient is maintained, allowing continuous NH₃ permeation and removal
